Pamela McCown

Pamela McCown joined Toastmasters in 2001 to gain leadership experience and worked her way through club and district offices to be elected as International Director in August 2009.  She served on the Toastmasters International Board of Directors from 2009 to 2011.  

As a Past International Director, Pamela still works with district leaders and represents Toastmasters in a variety of capacities.  Pamela received a Presidential Citation in August 2014 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from Toastmasters International President George Yen. She was also awarded the District 56 Communication and Leadership Award in 2015 for her service and dedication to excellence in both in Toastmasters and the community at large.

In 2014, she was selected by Toastmasters International to serve as a Chief Ambassador for the Pathways Learning Experience that is being rolled out in 2017 to enhance our Toastmasters member experience.

Today she will share her excitement for the Toastmasters International educational programs and give us some insight into what to expect as we make the transition to the Pathways learning management system. Please welcome Past International Director  Distinguished Toastmaster Pamela McCown

Saturday Education Session

Title:  STEPS and PATHS to DTM!

Synopsis:  This session will guide participants through the Toastmasters International educational programs with stories about leadership opportunities, and tools to assist members in setting and achieving goals.  There's something for Toastmasters at all levels in this session.  If you want to become a Distinguished Toastmaster for the first time or the next time, then this session is for YOU! If you are looking for ways to inspire others to complete their DTM requirements, then bring your friend/protégé to this session!
