For Credit Sessions

President The purpose of this session is to help presidents understand their role in the Toastmasters club, discussing opportunities to set the tone for the club and provide supportive leadership.
VP Education The purpose of this session is to help vice presidents education understand their role in the Toastmasters club, to be a resource for new members in the club and a guide for existing members as they work toward education awards in both the current educational system and in Pathways.
VP Membership The purpose of this session is to help vice president membership to understand their role in the Toastmasters club, creating a climate that attracts new members and keeps current members involved.
VP Public Relations The purpose of this session is to help the vice presidents public relations understand their role in the Toastmasters club, presenting your club to external audiences, which help to attract new members.
Secretary The purpose of this session is to help secretaries understand their role in the Toastmasters club, including facilitating the smooth operation of the club by maintaining vital records and maintaining the club’s written history so that future club officers will have this important information.
Treasurer The purpose of this session is to help treasurers understand their role in the Toastmasters club as the club’s accountant, responsible for managing the bank account, collecting dues, and submitting forms to World Headquarters.
Serveant at Arms The purpose of this session is to help sergeants at arms understand their role in the Toastmasters club, helping ensure that meetings are well-run and setting the tone for an organized, successful meeting.
Pathways for President,
VP Education, and Secretary
What to expect with the upcoming Pathways program and how it changes your officer roles.
Pathways for Everyone  An overview of the upcoming Pathways program for other officers and members.
Recruiting Members  Membership training often talks about welcoming and retaining members. This session discusses how to locate and recruit new members into the club. 

 

 

Electives and ACG Sessions

Judges' Training  Introduction for new judges. 2 hours of training required for certification. (Does not count towards Officer Training requirements)
Chief Judges' Training Introduction for Chief Judges. Must have served as a Judge in the previous contest season. 2 hours of training required for certification. (Does not count towards Officer Training requirements)
Judge Recertification For trained Judges and Chief Judges who need a refresher, including discussions of new rules, and review of the upcoming contest season. (Does not count towards Officer Training requirements)
Art of Effective Evaluation This workshop will give club members the knowledge, motivation, and skills they need to become more effective evaluators.
From Speaker to Trainer This educational workshop teaches participants how to develop and present training programs.
Developing Your Leadership Skills This educational workshop helps members learn how to develop strong leadership skills.
Digital Roadmap to DTM This class will add value to club officers, and inform them of valuable details they can each take back to their clubs, as District 50 gets ready for Pathways.
Leading Volunteers

Volunteers are challenging to manage.If we redefine the term “volunteer” to be ANYONE we need to motivate over whom we do not have the hire and fire authority, our boss, peers, and spouse all become volunteers. This session covers how to use the Toastmaster HPL model to improve our ability to lead these newly defined “volunteers.”
